Bike to Work Day is May 15; Register for Our Pit Stop at Eastern Market Metro Plaza

Registration for the metropolitan region’s Bike to Work Day 2015 has opened, punctuating the end of a long cold, winter.  The first 14,000 participants who register for this free event at www.biketoworkmetrodc.org become eligible for a bicycle raffle and will receive a free t-shirt commemorating this year’s celebration, held on Friday, May 15, 2015.

The Capitol Hill BID will be hosting a pit stop at the Eastern Market Metro plaza from 7:00AM – 9:00AM on Friday, May 15th. Do you live in or bike through Capitol Hill on your way to work? Register for our pit stop HERE. There will be special BID giveaways at the event as well as raffle prizes. Capitol Hill Bikes will be on site to perform free bike maintenance inspections. For questions or more information, contact Kelly Maslar at 202-842-3333 or kmaslar@capitolhillbid.org.

Bike to Work Day is organized by Commuter Connections and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA).  Participating cyclists visit pit-stops during the event for free T-shirts, refreshments, entertainment, and other giveaways—and this year will add more than a half-dozen new pit stops, swelling the number to 79 in the region.  Last year over 14,000 area commuters participated.
