Bike to Work Day Registration OPEN; BID to Host Pitstop at Eastern Market Metro Plaza

On May 18, 2012 more than 10,000 area commuters will participate in Bike to Work Day and show their support for bicycling as a clean, fun and healthy way to get to work. Commuter Connections and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association invite you to participate in this popular region wide event. Bike to Work Day encourages commuters to try bicycling to work as an alternative to solo driving.

Bike to Work Day is a free non-profit event and is open to all commuters in the Washington area. Participants who pre-register and join the festivities will receive a free T-shirt, refreshments, and a chance to win bicycles and other great raffle prizes! T-Shirts are available at the pit stops and are limited to the first 11,000 who register.

The Capitol Hill BID will be hosting a pit stop at the Eastern Market Metro plaza from 6:30-8:30am on May 18th. Several local businesses will be participating with the BID at the event, including Harris Teeter, Peregrine Espresso, Capitol Hill Bikes and City Bikes.

Do you live in or bike through Capitol Hill on your way to work? Register for our pit stop HERE. There will be special BID giveaways at the event as well as raffle prizes. For questions or more information, contact Kelly Maslar at 202-842-3333 or kmaslar@capitolhillbid.org.
