Metro’s Orange and Blue Lines to Share Track in Capitol Hill Area This Weekend

If you’re making plans to use Metro to get in and around Capitol Hill this weekend, be prepared to add at least twenty minutes to your travel time. According to WMATA’s website, Metro will be making improvements to several of their rail lines starting Friday at 10:00pm through closing on Sunday; this includes the Orange and Blue lines that run through Capitol Hill. The Orange and Blue lines will share one track between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory as they replace rail fasteners to provide a smoother ride.
