May is Capitol Hill Appreciation Month!

During Sharon Ambrose’s tenure as Ward 6 Councilmember, she drafted a resolution dedicating May as Capitol Hill Month.

Recognizing “the historic significance and vitality of Capitol Hill,” the resolution designates the month of May as “Capitol Hill Appreciation Month” in DC and will be renewed this year by Councilmember Tommy Wells.

Therefore CHAMPS and the Capitol Hill BID will be working together to make May 2010 the best month of appreciation the Hill has seen yet.

Capitol Hill Month starts off with a bang!

All happening on May 1:
Capitol Riverfront BID’s Fitness in the FRONT
Taste of 8th on Barracks Row Main Street
H Street’s new First Saturday event

And then …

The celebration continues with a special Cinco De Mayo CHAMPS Wednesday Wine Down on May 5 and don’t forget the Capitol Hill Restoration Society’s House & Garden Tour

Stay tuned for many more events and happenings right here in our great neighborhood!
