Free Emergency Preparedness Workshops for Businesses

DC Homeland Security and the Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA) will be conducting free Emergency Preparedness Workshops for Capitol Hill businesses to provide the necessary tools to deal with natural disasters and major disasters (terrorist attacks).

Each workshop has room for approximately 30 businesses in each session. The workshop lasts 2 to 2 1/2 hours each and will be scheduled to maximize the participation of business owners at a time that is most convenient for them.

Workshops scheduled so far:
9 am Monday, May 18th at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Community Hall.
4 pm Monday, May 18th at The Heritage Foundation.

Topics that will be covered include: preparing your business for a disaster; clean up and recovery from damage; and what steps you would need to take to reopen and get back to your normal business routine.
