Capitol Hill Bikes Named One of America’s Best Bike Shops

The National Bicycle Dealer Association (NBDA) announced that Capitol Hill Bikes (719 8th Street, SE) has been named one of “America’s Best Bike Shops for 2013”.  According to the NBDA, the award “was created to highlight shops that best support their community, provide top notch customer service, and support the industry both locally and nationally.”

The NBDA and People for Bikes presented the award to members of the Capitol Hill Bikes Team at a ceremony on September 18th in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Capitol Hill Bikes’ owner, Denise D’Amour, said she is thrilled to be recognized by her colleagues for offering outstanding customer service, a commitment to excellence, and support of local communities and small business retailers.  “We opened Capitol Hill Bikes in 2000 with the commitment to make cycling accessible and fun for everyone.  I am so proud of my staff for sharing and executing that vision.   And I am most grateful to the NBDA and People For Bikes for the award.”

Capitol Hill Bikes, located on Barracks Row near the Capitol, is a woman-owned, full-service bike shop that sells Fuji, Bianchi, Masi and KHS bicycles and repairs all makes and models.
