BID Board Chairman Phil Truluck Stepping Down; Retiring from The Heritage Foundation After 38 Years

Phil Truluck, the BID’s Chairman of the Board since April 2014, has announced he is stepping down from his post at the end of the month and will be retiring from his position as Executive Vice President of The Heritage Foundation after 38 years.

At the BID’s quarterly board meeting on Friday, March 20, President Patty Brosmer presented Phil with a “Thank You” video to honor him for his year of service as Chairman and as one of the founding board members in 1999. (See below for link to watch the video tribute.) In addition, Operations Director Andrew Lee gave Phil a blue BID rain jacket to wear in his retirement. Over the years, Phil has been giving Andrew hints that he’d like to have one of the jackets so it was only fitting to give him one as another thank you gift.

BID Vice Chairman Don Denton has been elected as the next Board Chairman. Like Phil, Don is also a founding member of the Capitol Hill BID board of directors, and has served as Vice Chairman since the beginning of the organization.

We’ll miss you Phil, but we wish you the best in your retirement!
