Be Informed: Marine Corps’ Community Integrated Master Plan Open House

The Marine Corps is facilitating a Community Integrated Master Plan to evaluate community-military development partnering options. There are unmet facility needs and security requirements at Marine Barracks Washington and a potential to meet common community and military needs through the process. Recognizing that the Marine Barracks and the community are linked in past and present, their goal is to use a coordinated planning process to create a win-win in meeting the development needs of the local community and Marine Corps. Community and stakeholder involvement is essential to the success of the Community Integrated Master Plan efforts and your participation is encouraged.

An open house format Public Information Meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Eastern Market – North Hall. You are invited to attend anytime between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Your participation will assist the planning team in identifying issues, concerns, and potential opportunities for military-community development partnering. During the public information meeting, technical representatives will be available to describe and answer questions regarding the Community Integrated Master Plan goals, process, and ongoing opportunities for public involvement; potential development needs to be addressed in the Community Integrated Master Plan; and the Marine Barracks Washington mission.
