District Launches Intercity Bus Service Pilot at Union Station
Three Bus Carriers Offering Curbside Service to New York City

(Washington, D.C.) District residents and visitors using Union Station now have another convenient option for travel to New York City. The District, in partnership with the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation, today launched an Intercity Bus Service Pilot Program at the city’s busiest transit hub. Three bus carriers are offering curbside service to the Big Apple from the bus deck in the Union Station parking garage.

“Union Station is the heart of our transit network, where Amtrak, Metrorail, Metrobus, the Circulator and our first bicycle transit center all connect,” said Gabe Klein, the Director of the District Department of Transportation. “So it makes sense to add intercity bus service to that mix to for travelers coming in and out of the city.”

The new service supplements the current curbside locations used by the 3 carriers: Bolt, DC2NY and Washington Deluxe. For more information and service schedules, please contact the carriers directly:

* Bolt: www.boltbus.com or call 1-877-BOLTBUS
* DC2NY: www.DC2NY.com or call 202-332-2691
* Washington Deluxe: www.washny.com or call 1-866-BUS-NY-DC

At Union Station, passengers should look for the red Circulator wayfinding signs directing them to the bus deck. The new service will be reevaluated after a 6 month trial period.
