Help the “Men In Blue” by Donating to RWW’s Silent Auction

As Ready, Willing & Working’s 6th Annual Magic & Miracles fundraising event draws closer, we would like to reach out to the Capitol Hill community for support. Last year, RWW was fortunate to receive numerous generous donations from many Capitol Hill businesses and we are hoping to make this year the best yet for silent auction donations.

The event will be held on December 5, 2013 from 6:00-9:00pm at The Atlas Performing Arts Center on H Street, NE.This year’s event again promises to be fabulous and will feature Washington Wizards sports announcer Steve Buckhantz as Master of Ceremonies, a silent auction, delicious food, and several notable guest speakers. We will also be honoring Phil Truluck and The Heritage Foundation for their commitment to RWW’s mission.

With any contribution, you will be helping our city’s homeless and formerly incarcerated men to break the cycles of homelessness, welfare dependency, and criminal recidivism. All funds raised at Magic & Miracles pay for supportive services for the “men in blue” you see on Capitol Hill every day. Services like relapse prevention; case management; life-skills classes; meal vouchers and Metro fare cards all give our participants the tools they need to be self-supportive, productive members of society.

Please consider donating an item to our silent auction this year. With any donation value greater than $150, you will receive two (2) complementary tickets to the event, so you’ll be able to meet perspective customoers and even find a few bargains of your own! Not only will it be an unforgettable evening, but you’ll be helping to provide opportunities for individuals who so desperately want to work, lift themselves out of poverty, and to be included in mainstream society.
