Cold Weather Plantings Brighten Up Capitol Hill

The splendor of autumn is apparent by the bright gold and tawny colored leaves that gracefully trickle down from trees lining the streets in the business district on Capitol Hill. Adding to this splendor are the colorful pansies adorning tree boxes on the commercial streets.

The BID recently planted pansies in the 400 tree boxes throughout the BID area and are maintaining them with regular watering, however, we encourage businesses to help in the effort by watering the blooms periodically. [This is not necessary during times of frost.]
