Capitol Hill Holiday Tree Lighting Becoming a Tradition

Approximately 150 Capitol Hill residents, workers and passersby gathered Thursday evening, December 3, for the 3rd Annual Capitol Hill Holiday Tree Lighting.


To begin the evening, the Capitol Hill Chorale sang holiday tunes as attendee’s sipped cocoa and visited with new friends and old.





Capitol Hill BID Chairman, Paul Pascal, with wife Brenda, enjoyed the christmas carols before taking stage to address the audience.


Council Member Tommy Wells and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton both shared inspiring words of community spirit and holiday cheer.
Kathy Didden captivated the audience with her enthusiasm and joy for Capitol Hill and the community her late husband, George Didden, dedicated so much of his life to.


People cheered as the blue and white lights illuminated the dark winter night.
